Ok, a little bit of an ego-blast. But I promise to keep it short. This is a the book cover for a play called The Inspector General. Originally written in 1842 by Nikolai Gogol, this new translation was done by my good friend Dr. Michael Chemers. For reasons unknown, he wanted one of my pictures from the play on the cover as well as a dozen more inside. PhDs are weird.
